Soccer Game Preview: Catawba Ridge vs. Christ Church Episcopal

The Catawba Ridge Copperheads will square off against the Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Catawba Ridge sitting on four straight victories and Christ Church Episcopal on three.

Catawba Ridge's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Northwestern with a sharp 4-0 win. The Copperheads might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit Northwestern with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Joshua Zawlocki (2), Declan Hogan, and Evan Murdock.

Meanwhile, Christ Church Episcopal made easy work of Palmetto on Monday and carried off a 5-0 victory. Give the Cavaliers' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Catawba Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Christ Church Episcopal, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
