Softball Recap: Chadron Escapes with a Win

Chadron picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Alliance Bulldogs 7-6.

Chadron saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kadence Fisher, who went 1-for-2 while posting 2 RBIs, 1 run, and 1 walk. The two RBIs were her most since the 4th, when she brought in three vs. Chase County.

Chadron took advantage of their speed and finished the game with five stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases they have managed all season.

On Alliance's side, Kadence Lee was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 while logging 1 home run, 2 stolen bases, and 3 RBIs. The three RBIs were her most since August 22nd, when she brought in three vs. Gothenburg.

Chadron's record is currently 9-5. As for Alliance, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Chadron wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-4 defeat against Gering on the 12th. Hopefully Alliance paid attention to the Cardinals' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
