Basketball Recap: Colfax Comes Up Short

If Colfax was feeling good fresh off their 72-50 takedown of St. George's last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colfax Bulldogs fell 64-54 to the Reardan Screaming Eagles on Wednesday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Screaming Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Colfax's loss dropped their record down to 20-3. As for Reardan, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

Looking ahead, Colfax will welcome Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Colfax's favor as the squad sits on 28 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Liberty has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Reardan, they will head out to square off against Freeman at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Reardan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
