Recap: North Charleston Cougars vs. Hanahan Hawks
The North Charleston Cougars lost against the Hanahan Hawks back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. North Charleston was outmatched by Hanahan on the road and fell 61-32. North Charleston has struggled against Hanahan recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Hanahan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Camdyn Lawson, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ashtyn Adams, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
North Charleston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Hanahan, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
North Charleston will look to defend their home court on Friday against Philip Simmons at 6:00 p.m. Philip Simmons is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Hanahan, they will head out on the road to face off against Battery Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Battery Creek is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
