Softball Game Preview: Paragould Rams vs. Conway Wampus Cats

The Paragould Rams will face off against the Conway Wampus Cats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Paragould took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Valley View 7-6.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Conway). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Little Rock Southwest a 19-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Wampus Cats, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Conway and bumps their season record up to 15-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Paragould, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11.
