Preview: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Northridge Grizzlies
Mountain View is 9-1 against Northridge since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Mountain View Mountain Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Northridge Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. Mountain View has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 360 points over their last six contests.
Mountain View pushed their score all the way to 59 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Loveland by a score of 62-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (56), Mountain View still had to take the loss.
Dylan Garland put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was Keegan Amans, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Northridge's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight defeat. Their rough 77-53 defeat to Skyline might stick with them for a while. Northridge was down 62-37 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Northridge, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-15.
Everything went Mountain View's way against Northridge in their previous matchup last Thursday as Mountain View made off with a 66-42 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mountain View since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
