Football Game Recap: Rossford Bulldogs vs. Genoa Area Comets

Rossford lost against Genoa Area back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 42-14 to the Comets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 591st, while the Comets are ranked 202nd).

Rossford is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. As for Genoa Area, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Rossford will head out to face off against Fostoria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Redmen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 48.14 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Genoa Area, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Comets will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
