Softball Recap: Wharton Comes Up Short

Wharton fell victim to Wiregrass Ranch and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Bulls by a score of 1-0. The Wildcats have struggled against the Bulls recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Wharton now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Wiregrass Ranch, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wharton will square off against Strawberry Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Wharton's pitchers better be ready for this one: Strawberry Crest has averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they will take on Pasco at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
