Softball Recap: East Henderson Takes a Loss

East Henderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 7-1 to the Polk County Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-2 defeat on March 1st.

Marybeth Blackwell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole five bases while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.

East Henderson's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Polk County, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, East Henderson will welcome Pisgah at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Polk County, they are taking a road trip to take on Hendersonville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
