Baseball Recap: Hunt Takes a Loss

Hunt has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.2 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against the South Central Falcons, falling 16-4. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in April of 2017.

Hunt saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Taylor, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Hunt's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for South Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Hunt will head out to challenge West Johnston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South Central, they will host J.H. Rose at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rampants will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
