Volleyball Recap: National Trail Takes a Loss

National Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Franklin Monroe Jets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blazers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

National Trail was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Franklin Monroe work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-27, 25-21, 19-25, 15-11.

National Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Franklin Monroe, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

National Trail has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Varsity Opponent on the 30th. As for Franklin Monroe, they are taking a road trip to square off against St. Henry at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redskins will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Jets surely won't give up without a fight.
