            Volleyball Recap: Central Lions vs. Columbus Blue Devils        
        
		
        
        
            Central was the  2-0 winner over Columbus when they last played one another  back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils on Tuesday. The  game marked the first time this season in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.
 The  loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive:  Columbus scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20,  25-21.
  Julianna Johnston and  Abigayle Rowland certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss.  Johnston  had ten  digs and two  assists, while  Rowland  had ten assists and four  digs.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Central  fell to 4-1. As for Columbus, they now  have a winning record of 2-1.
 Coincidentally, Central and Columbus will both be playing St. Anne-Pacelli the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Vikings at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday, while the Blue Devils will play them later in the day, at 7:00  p.m.
