Madison entered their tilt with Walthill on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 66-51 victory over the Walthill Blujays. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dragons also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Madison got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jose Velez out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Velez continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Izac Zautke, who went 11 for 22 en route to 24 points along with six boards and five assists.

Madison smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Madison pushed their record up to 5-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Walthill, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Madison will challenge Tekamah-Herman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tekamah-Herman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season. As for Walthill, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 68-51 win against Winside on the 16th.
