Volleyball Recap: Memphis Business Academy Takes a Loss

If Memphis Business Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of KIPP Collegiate on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Execs lost 3-0 to the Crosstown Explorers on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Explorers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss last Monday.

The final score came out to 25-1, 25-5, 25-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crosstown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ruby Williams, who had 16 aces. Another player making a difference was Lucy Burgess, who had six aces and one assist.

Memphis Business Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Crosstown, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

Memphis Business Academy has already played their next matchup (against Bluff City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Crosstown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Trezevant on the 23rd.
