Soccer Game Preview: Highland vs. Pleasant

The Highland Fighting Scots will take on the Pleasant Spartans in a tournament on Saturday. Highland's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Highland is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Delaware Christian on Saturday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Christian Mason and Atticus Wilson scored both of Highland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Meanwhile, Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Highland. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Pleasant couldn't quite close it out.

Pleasant now has a losing record of 6-7-3. Highland's draw gives them a new season record of 8-7-1.

Highland beat Pleasant by a goal in their previous matchup on Wednesday, winning 2-1. Do the Fighting Scots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
