Volleyball Game Preview: Chickasha Fighting Chicks vs. Elgin Owls

The Chickasha Fighting Chicks are taking a road trip to face off against the Elgin Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Elgin took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Chickasha, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Chickasha earned a 3-1 win over Tipton.

Chickasha had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-17, 25-13, 26-24.

Ari Andrew was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 23 digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last 12 matches.

Meanwhile, Elgin came up short against Blanchard on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The victory got Chickasha back to even at 13-13. As for Elgin, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-25.

Chickasha was able to grind out a solid win over Elgin in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Chicks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
