Baseball Recap: Westwood Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Westwood's offense. They came up short against the Bayside Bears on Friday, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bears: they've now lost six in a row.

Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bayside, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westwood will challenge Centennial at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Centennial's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Westwood's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bayside, they will square off against Satellite at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Satellite will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Bayside surely won't give up without a fight.
