Football Recap: Lone Star Skates Past Centennial with Ease

While Lone Star put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Centennial. The Rangers claimed a resounding 41-0 victory over the Titans. Fans of the Rangers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Lone Star found their leader in sophomore Trey Wright, who threw for 180 yards and four TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Those four passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Wright. Ryder Mix was another key player, picking up 110 receiving yards and three scores.

The win keeps Lone Star at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 40.0 points this season. As for Centennial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Lone Star wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 54-7 win against Heritage on the 25th. As for Centennial, they have also already played their next matchup, a 16-7 victory against Sherman on the 26th.
