Basketball Game Preview: Fort Frye Cadets vs. Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders

The Fort Frye Cadets will challenge the Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fort Frye is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Fort Frye is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Warren on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Fort Frye had to suffer through a 65-14 loss at the hands of Warren. The contest marked the Cadets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Parkersburg Catholic came up short against Wahama on Monday and fell 78-66. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the White Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Fort Frye will need focus on slowing down Leonardo DeAngelo, one of several Parkersburg Catholic players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6 of 15 en route to 18 points and five assists. DeAngelo is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Branson Lott was another key player, going 6 for 7 on his way to 14 points.

Parkersburg Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Fort Frye, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
