Softball Recap: West Davidson Falls Short of West Stokes in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, West Davidson couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since February 24th.

Meghan Leonard was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

The defeat snapped West Davidson's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-8 record. As for West Stokes, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

West Davidson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Stokes, they will challenge North Stanly on Tuesday. The Comets will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
