Soccer Recap: Middletown Comes Up Short

Middletown managed to keep up with Newburgh Free Academy until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Middie Bears came up short against the Goldbacks, falling 7-0. Middletown haven't had much luck with Newburgh Free Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Newburgh Free Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1-1.

Looking ahead, Middletown will take on Cornwall Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Newburgh Free Academy, they will square off against Goshen Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
