Recap: Centaurus Warriors vs. Longmont Trojans
The Centaurus Warriors struggled with offensive rebounds on Friday (the Longmont Trojans had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Centaurus fell to Longmont 41-35. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Centaurus of the 44-40 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Despite the loss, Centaurus still got an impressive performance from Ingrid Lorton, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Lorton is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cameron Kidd, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Longmont was led to victory by Savannah Pohl and Stella Rulon. Pohl scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Rulon dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds. Pohl has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Terra Brubaker, who scored four points.
Centaurus dropped their record down to 5-17 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
