Soccer Recap: Genoa-Kingston Takes a Loss

Genoa-Kingston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Byron Tigers. Genoa-Kingston were not able to make up for their defeat to Byron from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Genoa-Kingston's goal came courtesy of Adrian Delgado, who's now up to two this season.

Genoa-Kingston's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Byron, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Genoa-Kingston is set to take on their familiar foe Stillman Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Byron will face off against rival Dixon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
