Basketball Game Preview: North Valley Christian Academy Lions vs. Wickenburg Wranglers

North Valley Christian Academy is returning to their home court after beating Arizona Lutheran Academy on theirs, despite the fact Arizona Lutheran Academy has dominated at home this season. North Valley Christian Academy managed a 52-47 victory over Arizona Lutheran Academy on Saturday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wickenburg). They came out on top in a nail-biter against Trivium Prep on Tuesday, sneaking past 59-56. The win was some much needed relief for the Wranglers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

North Valley Christian Academy better keep an eye on Nick Formica. He was instrumental in Wickenburg's win, putting up 15 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Formica is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Easton Forbrook, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 boards.

Wickenburg was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Wickenburg's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11. As for North Valley Christian Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5.
