Charlotte Country Day School extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Ella Standish. The Buccaneers came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cannon Cougars with plenty of help from Standish, who had 19 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Charlotte Country Day School wouldn't go down easily and took Cannon into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 21-25, 15-8.

Charlotte Country Day School's record now sits at 11-5. As for Cannon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Charlotte Country Day School will square off against Providence Day at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cannon, they will face off against Sun Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
