Baseball Game Preview: Huntsville Panthers vs. Albertville Aggies

For the second straight game, Huntsville will face off against Albertville. The Panthers will head out to challenge the Aggies at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Huntsville has three straight victories, Albertville has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Tuesday, Huntsville earned an 8-3 win over Albertville.

Reece Thomas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Thomas was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Thomas wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Howell, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Howell also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another was Alex Cothren, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Albertville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Huntsville, their record now sits at 11-15.
