Softball Game Preview: Hampshire Trojans vs. Moorefield Yellow Jackets

The Hampshire Trojans will challenge the Moorefield Yellow Jackets at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hampshire comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Hampshire lost 19-3 to Pendleton County on Friday.

Hampshire saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charly Ashton, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Moorefield didn't have quite enough to beat Keyser on Monday and fell 4-3. The Yellow Jackets have struggled against the Golden Tornado recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Hampshire's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Moorefield, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Hampshire suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Moorefield when the teams last played back in April of 2018. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
