Basketball Recap: United Christian Academy Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

United Christian Academy meant business on Tuesday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Cubs squad that has allowed just 25.68 points per contest. The United Christian Academy Eagles took their contest with ease, bagging a 64-30 victory over the California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

United Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordin Edwards, who went 7 for 16 on her way to 14 points in addition to seven assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Estrada, who posted 12 points in addition to eight assists and seven boards.

United Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

United Christian Academy pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, they moved to 17-2 with that defeat, which also ended their 16-game winning streak.

United Christian Academy will venture away from home to square off against Sherman Indian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sherman Indian's defense has only allowed 26.7 points per game this season, so United Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, they will be taking part in a tournament against Indiana School for the Deaf at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
