Basketball Recap: Aiden Mcmahan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sheets Memorial Christian over Hilltop Christian + How To Watch

If Sheets Memorial Christian was riding high fresh off their 79-52 takedown of Covenant Classical two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Hilltop Christian Chargers on Tuesday, falling 65-45. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Sheets Memorial Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden McMahan, who posted ten points and six boards. Jude Howell was another key player, putting up 13 points and five steals.

Leading Hilltop Christian to victory were Jacob Smith and Joseph McCabe. Smith went 9-for-13 en route to 20 points in addition to six steals and five assists, while McCabe dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Smith now owns an excellent 48.7% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Morgan, who put up ten points and five steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sheets Memorial Christian fell to 5-1. As for Hilltop Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Sheets Memorial Christian will square off against Carolina Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hilltop Christian, they will face off against Greenville Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Chargers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
