Football Game Preview: Urbana Hillclimbers vs. Kenton Ridge Cougars + How To Watch

The Urbana Hillclimbers will square off against the Kenton Ridge Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Urbana is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Friday, Urbana came up short against Jonathan Alder and fell 28-21. While losing is never fun, the Hillclimbers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Pioneers are ranked 110th).

Urbana's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Grady Lantz, who threw for 203 yards and a pair of TDs, and Colton Teepe, who picked up 63 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kenton Ridge). They claimed a resounding 49-20 win over Tecumseh. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Arrows recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Urbana's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Kenton Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Urbana against Kenton Ridge when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 27-0 victory. Will the Hillclimbers repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
