Yough won the last time they faced Charleroi and things went their way on Friday too. Yough blew past Charleroi, posting a 42-7 victory.

A big part of Yough's win came down to the chemistry between Aidan Shaffer and his top target Ryan Sarver. Shaffer rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown while Sarver picked up 74 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. What's more, Sarver posted two receiving touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Yough's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jayden Huber, Corbin Reinstadtler, and John R Gergely, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Yough's record now sits at 2-0. As for Charleroi, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Yough will challenge Ringgold at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Charleroi, they will be playing at home against Bentworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
