Penobscot Valley put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Piscataquis Pirates 94-27. Given the Howlers' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Pirates are ranked 74th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Penobscot Valley's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. As for Piscataquis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penobscot Valley will head out to challenge Woodland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Penobscot Valley is facing Woodland at the right time seeing as Woodland is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
