Volleyball Recap: Baker Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Baker was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Florala on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gators came up short against the Jay Royals on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Baker was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Annalese Saunders and Katerina Price, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Lacy Adams and her eight assists. Finally, Price was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Baker's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Jay, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Baker has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Central on the 11th. As for Jay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Rocky Bayou Christian on the 11th.
