Basketball Recap: North Central Eagles vs. Montpelier Locomotives
North Central lost against Montpelier back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The North Central Eagles took a hard 59-41 fall against the Montpelier Locomotives. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Montpelier found their leader in freshman C.J. Fidler, who went 11 for 19 on his way to 29 points and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fidler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Sharps, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points.
North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Montpelier, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
North Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-60 victory against Antwerp on the 17th. As for Montpelier, they will host Stryker at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
