Basketball Recap: Hiawatha Takes a Loss

Hiawatha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They came up short against the South Beloit Sobos, falling 54-28. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-13.

Hiawatha's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for South Beloit, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hiawatha will face off against Somonauk/Leland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Beloit, they will square off against Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
