Basketball Game Preview: Braddock Bulldogs vs. Mater Lakes Academy Bears

The Braddock Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Mater Lakes Academy Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Braddock is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Saint Andrew's on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Braddock was beaten by Saint Andrew's 80-47. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 477th, while the Scots are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Mater Lakes Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost to Chaminade-Madonna on the road by a 56-37 margin. The game marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Braddock and nudges their season record down to 5-9. As for Mater Lakes Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
