Football Recap: Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans vs. Saluda Tigers

Friday just wasn't the day for Ridge Spring-Monetta's offense. They had to suffer through a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Saluda Tigers. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 41-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Even if they lost, Ridge Spring-Monetta's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Jabarius Brunson and De'Arie Kinard, who each picked up 1.5 sacks apiece. Brunson was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks and making six total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Ridge Spring-Monetta's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Saluda, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
