Recap: Durham Trojans vs. Gridley Bulldogs
After a string of three wins, the Durham Trojans's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They suffered a rough 54-30 loss at the hands of Gridley. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Durham in their matchups with Gridley: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Durham had strong showings from Luke Butler, who scored 6 points, and Brady Doyle, who scored 9 points. Doyle scored a full 30% of Durham's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Durham's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Gridley, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Durham and Mt. Shasta will face off at 8:08 p.m. on December 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Gridley, they will be playing at home against Salesian College Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Salesian College Preparatory will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Gridley is ranked 26th).
