Baseball Game Preview: Blind Brook Trojans vs. Tuckahoe Tigers

The Blind Brook Trojans will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Tuckahoe Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Blind Brook is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Scarsdale hit Blind Brook with a six-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans lost 11-1 to the Raiders.

Meanwhile, Tuckahoe made easy work of Blind Brook on Tuesday and carried off a 14-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Tuckahoe got a massive performance out of Vincent Justino, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Ben Silvestri was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tuckahoe kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Tuckahoe and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Blind Brook, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Blind Brook has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tuckahoe struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
