Softball Recap: Marblehead Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Marblehead couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Hopkinton Hillers on Wednesday, falling 7-1.

Marblehead has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-4 record this season. As for Hopkinton, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Hillers beat Marblehead by a score of 7-1 later that day.
