Softball Recap: Marblehead Comes Up Short

Marblehead and Hopkinton squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Marblehead had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hillers, falling 7-1.

Marblehead has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-4 record this season. As for Hopkinton, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Hillers beat Marblehead by a score of 7-1 later that day.
