Soccer Game Preview: Rio Americano vs. Woodcreek

The Rio Americano Raiders will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Woodcreek Timberwolves at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Saturday, Rio Americano didn't have quite enough to beat Jesuit and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Woodcreek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Ponderosa a 4-0 shutout on Thursday.

Woodcreek hit Ponderosa with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ty Branigan (2), Vince Noble, and Travis Russell.

Woodcreek now has a winning record of 2-1-2. As for Rio Americano, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1.
