Baseball Recap: Washington Triumphs

Washington won the last time they faced Sulphur and things went their way on Thursday too. Washington came out on top against Sulphur by a score of 4-1.

Owen Andrews spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Washington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Brady, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Washington's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Sulphur, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-3.

Looking ahead, Washington is taking a road trip to take on Elgin at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sulphur, they will challenge Ardmore at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
