Softball Recap: Apache Junction Comes Up Short

Apache Junction fell victim to Poston Butte and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 15-0 to the Broncos. Having soared to a lofty 24 runs in the game before, the Prospectors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Apache Junction's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Poston Butte, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Apache Junction will venture away from home to take on Coolidge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.22 runs per game on average), something the Prospectors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Poston Butte, they will face off against Combs at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th.
