Basketball Game Preview: Hill-Murray Pioneers vs. Faribault Falcons

The Hill-Murray Pioneers will challenge the Faribault Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hill-Murray has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with ten straight defeats, while Faribault will come in with four straight victories.

Last Saturday, Hill-Murray came up short against Liberty Classical Academy and fell 73-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (59), the Pioneers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Faribault was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Winona 77-48. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Faribault's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Hill-Murray, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Hill-Murray suffered a grim 66-44 defeat to Faribault in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Hill-Murray avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
