Volleyball Recap: Astin Saft Key Part of Team Effort in Raiders Win

The Hun Raiders beat the Montgomery Cougars 2-0 on Saturday.

Hun not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Montgomery to exactly 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19.

Hun's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Astin Saft, who had 12 digs and four aces. Riley Burg was another key player, getting eight digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Hun was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive contests.

Hun is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Hun will challenge Gill St. Bernard's at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Montgomery, they will take on Phillipsburg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
