Basketball Recap: Frontier Falcons vs. Tri-County Cavaliers
Frontier lost against Tri-County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Frontier Falcons took a blow against the Tri-County Cavaliers, falling 64-28. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 67th).
Tri-County was led to victory by Sara Zarse and Hannah Arvin. Zarse almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine steals, while Arvin posted eight points along with 11 rebounds and seven assists. Zarse is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 32 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyzzy Bahler, who had 11 points and seven rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Frontier and nudges their season record down to 1-10. As for Tri-County, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Frontier will head out to face off against West Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri-County, they will head out on the road to take on Rossville at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Rossville is on a four-game streak of home wins, Tri-County a eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
