Football Recap: Northampton Falls to South Hadley in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Northampton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the South Hadley Tigers 46-0 on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

South Hadley was led to victory by Noah Hambley and Griffin Soderbaum. Hambley gained 182 total yards and three touchdowns, while Soderbaum threw for 173 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten passes.

Looking ahead, Northampton will take on Holyoke at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Hadley, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Agawam at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
