Volleyball Recap: Paityn Davidson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tri-County North over Ansonia

It was a proper cat-fight when Tri-County North challenged Ansonia on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-15, 25-13.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Paityn Davidson, who had 14 digs. Davidson is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

Ansonia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lydia Hahn led the charge by getting 17 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Hahn has posted since back in October of 2024.

Tri-County North's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Ansonia, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Tri-County North has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against New Miami on the 2nd. As for Ansonia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Arcanum on the 2nd.
