Pearl City was the 8-0 winner over Leilehua when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers fell 8-5 to the Mighty Mules on Saturday. The Chargers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ethan Higashiona was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jodi Takara, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Pearl City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for Leilehua, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pearl City is set to take on their familiar foe Mililani at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chargers are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Trojans a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Leilehua will challenge rival Campbell at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
