Baseball Recap: Mid-Carolina Beats Eau Claire for Their Third Straight Win

Mid-Carolina won against Newberry last Wednesday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Mid-Carolina beat the Eau Claire Shamrocks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Mid-Carolina, bringing their record up to 10-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Eau Claire, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2-1.

Mid-Carolina wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 1-0 loss against River Bluff on the 29th. As for Eau Claire, they will challenge Fairfield Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
